| Description: | The Aurora R-VIII School District is currently seeking candidates for the position of Superintendent for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond. Applicants must demonstrate a student-centered philosophy regarding instruction, education, and leadership; have knowledge of sound fiscal management, facilities/operations, personnel; and understand the important role of parents/patrons. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this position. Applicants must hold appropriate certification (current Superintendent's certificate) and have at least 3 years of administrative experience. Salary will be based on skills and experience. Benefits include a Board-paid health insurance stipend, and paid personal/vacation/sick leave. Application packet must include a letter of interest including significant accomplishments, resume', online application (on District's website-aurorar8.org), at least 3 references, and a copy of certification and transcripts.
