| Description: | **All candidates MUST apply via our district website to be eligible for interview** The Marshfield R-1 School District is in search of an elementary special education teacher for the 22-23 school year. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in cross-categorical K-12 or ECSE (Pk-3) Job description includes the following: Develop and maintain compliant Individual Education Programs, and progress monitoring of IEP goals Working with students diagnosed with language impairment, autism, other health impairment, etc. Collaborates with IEP team and staff to develop appropriate staffing for students. Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the normal instructional day when required or requested under reasonable terms Develops a schedule that is conducive to student learning Develops reasonable rules addressing classroom behavior and procedures in the classroom that maintains fair and just order in the classroom The special education teacher will be required to plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities in a variety of educational settings Supervise and plan for paraprofessional supports The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities, such that the students benefit from the general education curriculum to the greatest extent possible when supported with supplemental aides, accommodations, and other needed supports The person will be expected to adhere to federal, state, and local laws when developing, writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) Attends special education staffing and faculty meetings and serve on committees as assigned Attend professional development as assigned by district/building level administrators. Adheres to all federal, state, and local policies Perform any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Building Principal and/or Director of Special Services. Compensation for this position will be based on the Marshfield R-1 Public Schools Certified Salary Schedule, benefits included.
