Description:  We are seeking a School Based Therapist to provide trauma-informed counseling to children enrolled in Great Circle Academy on our Webster Groves campus. Applicants MUST have the following licensure to apply: (PLPC), (LPC), (LMSW), (LCSW), (PLMFT), (LMFT) This position offers an AMAZING work schedule! Monday through Friday school day hours following the school year calendar. In addition to the school breaks through out the year, with the full month of July and half of August OFF WITH PAY. Purpose of Position Provides therapy to clients and works collaboratively with the Teachers, Teacher Assistants and Teacher Aides. Completes assessments, documentation for services rendered, and case management duties as needed. The Therapist reports directly to the Statewide Clinical Associate Director of Education. Major Duties (*Essential Element) Provides clinical counseling services to clients with a focus on those affected by trauma, may include individual, family or group therapy * Completes various assessments and reports as appropriate including but not limited to; biopsychosocial, trauma, suicide, substance abuse * Formulates and administers treatment plans * Documents service delivery in formats specified by Great Circle * Participates in meetings, staffing, and other appointments with clients as needed Communicates and collaborates with internal and external individuals and groups to provide excellent care, customer service, and cooperation Manages youth using safe crisis management techniques Provide clinical supervision * (Senior Therapist only) Other duties as assigned for the betterment of Great Circle Competencies Judgment – ability to make thoughtful decisions in a timely and confident manner Execution & Results – ability to adapt to change, effectively cope with the unexpected, systematically problem solve, follow-through and ensure accuracy Customer Focus – properly interacts with others, the ability to work independently or with a team, ethically minded Motivation & Work Ethic – demonstrates personal integrity by operating in an accountable, reliable, and respectful manner Required Education and Experience Therapist I Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling Missouri Provisional Licensure: Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT) Therapist II & Senior Therapist Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling Missouri Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Preferred Education and Experience Experience working with children and families in a trauma informed environment Qualifications Knowledge of clinical theory, therapy, and systems Requires analytical ability necessary to handle moderately complex administrative details such as preparing nonrecurring reports Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload with attention to detail Must be able to work productively and respectfully with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds Proficient in Word and email applications.
