This is a temporary position for the 2015-2016 school year. The aide will be working with kindergarten students from September through May 21st. (Monday-Friday 8:10-3:50) The hourly rate will be paid in accordance with the districts paraprofessional salary scale. Applicant must have a minimum of 60 college hours an or pass the Missouri Educator Gateway Assessment. Responsibilities include working with small groups and individual students on reading instruction including comprehension, decoding, and fluency and mathematics instruction. The instructional aide will also utilize various assessments to guide their instruction including running records, comprehension checklists, written work samples and more. The instructional aide will be working closely with kindergarten classroom teachers and Title 1 Reading Teachers in order to create and implement lessons for students.
