Students – •Advise pre-Allied Health students and applicants on admission, course, and program requirements. •Schedule and conduct interviews with other Admissions Committee members for the selection of students for the program per admission interview guidelines. •Review and monitor the progress of each student throughout the program, and assist in determining student services appropriate to promote student success. •Review and assess overall trends for student retention and attrition rates and implement measures to promote student success. Instructor Essential Job Duties •Provide quality instruction which is current, evidence-based, incorporates active problem-based learning modalities, and responsive to employer needs. •Maintain currency of knowledge and skill in field of specialization and areas of instruction. •Promote and maintain a positive learning environment that is conducive to student learning. •Maintain minimum contact hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching assignments as provided by college policy. •In accordance with approved course abstract policy and procedures, develop a course syllabus for each class taught and provide a copy to students and the college at the beginning of the semester. •Maintain discipline, decorum and professionalism in the classroom. •Maintain appropriate record keeping for assigned classes, to include progress and grade reports, attendance records, counseling reports, and clinical experience records. •Schedule and ensure the required number of office hours per week, convenient to students. •Is available to assist students outside of scheduled classroom time.
